Nella raccolta ‘Ripetizioni’ Ritsos tratta del mito come archetipo della realtà presente. Anche le poesie di ambientazione storica dela raccolta rientrano nello spirito archetipico del mito.

Ghiannis Ritsos (1909-1990) uses in his poetry the myths as interpretative tool, as an archetype of the present time. This element is evident in Επαναλήψεις (Repetitions), in which universally known mythological characters reveal unpublished aspects of their events.
