Theotokas and Psycharis

Abstract

Este artículo analiza los encuentros y “desencuentros” entre Psijaris y Ceotokás y las reflexiones que este último dejó escritas en diferentes ensayos sobre el viejo maestro y su obra. La postura de Ceotokás ante Psijaris resulta muy ilustrativa de la valoración que la generación del 30 hizo del líder del demoticismo.

This paper analyses the good and bad aspects of the relation between Psycharis and Theotokas, and the thoughts the latter wrote about the old master and his work, in a variety of essays. Theotokas’ position on Psycharis represents quite well the way in which the 1930 generation evaluated the leader of demoticism.
