Los estudios comparativos sobre Diyenís Acritis y el Cantar de Mio Cid. Algunas anotaciones sobre el género de la ‘epopeya medieval’
Comparative studies between the Diyenís Acritis and the Cantar de Mio Cid. Some notes on the literary genre of the ‘medieval epopee’
Resumen
En este estudio, a modo de introducción, se da el propósito del trabajo y se aclara la terminología que se aplicará en cuestiones sobre los géneros literarios. En la segunda parte se presentan en orden cronológico los estudios comparativos entre la obra bizantina de Diyenís Acritis y la castellana Cantar de Mio Cid. En la última parte se sacan algunas conclusiones con respecto de los temas que fueron tratados por los críticos y se intentó demostrar por mi parte, cómo la mediación de autoridades como Krumbacher, y sobre todo Hegel con su noción del género ‘épico’ (mejor ‘epopeya’), formaron el ‘horizonte de expectativas’ e influyeron en las lecturas – interpretaciones en paralelo de las dos obras en cuestión.

In this study, as an introduction, I aim to present the purpose of my investigation and to explain the terminology used when referring to issues on the literary genres. In the second part I introduce in a chronological order the comparative studies between the Byzantine oeuvre Diyenís Acritis and the Castilian one Cantar de Mio Cid. In the last part I present my conclusions on the topics raised by the critics. I especially aim to demonstrate how the mediation between milestones as Krumbacher or Hegel (with his notion of “epic” genre – in reality the “medieval epopee” genre), has created an “horizon of expectations” and has inflenced the parallel understanding and interpretation of the two above mentioned literary works.
