Study of the Balkan Nationalities through the Point of View of the Spanish Diplomat Enrique Dupuy de Lôme
Resumen
En el estudio del papel secundario que España pudo desarrollar en la Cuestión de Oriente, se puede observar una progresiva superación del vacío historiográfico sobre la información disponible por el público español del siglo XIX respecto al tema. El objeto de este trabajo tiene como fin contribuir al conocimiento real disponible en España sobre las diferentes entidades nacionales balcánicas del Imperio Otomano a inicios del último cuarto de dicho siglo. Para ello se procede a un análisis de la obra del diplomático español Enrique Dupuy de Lôme y la presentación de sus fuentes sobre los nacionalismos balcánicos.

In the study of the secondary role that Spain could develop in the Eastern Question, it is easy to appreciate a progressive improvement of the historiographical vacuum on the information available by the Spanish public of the 19th century regarding the subject. This work aims to be a contribution to the actual available knowledge in Spain about the diffrent Balkan national entities of the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the last quarter of this century. In this respect, throughout this paper I will analyse the work of the Spanish diplomat Enrique Dupuy de Lôme and the presentation of his sources about Balkan nationalisms.
