The genesis of the book writing and the psychoanalysis

Resumen

Partiendo de la experiencia de la edición de la obra de Andreas Embirikos, reseguimos, en una primera parte, la génesis del libro Escritos o mitología personal y, en base a los textos inéditos pertenecientes a este libro, el desarrollo del pensamiento político de Embirikos. En la segunda parte se plantea la escisión interior de Embirikos entre un uso revolucionario del psicoanálisis, como base para teorizar los objetivos políticos del surrealismo, y la aplicación ortodoxa de la técnica freudiana tanto en la práctica del diván como en sus escritos psicoanalíticos.

Beginning with an account of the posthumous publication of the uncollected work of Andreas Embirikos, the first section of this paper focuses on the genesis of the book Writings, or A Personal Mythology (published in English by Green Integer as Amour Amour, 2003) and, on the basis of the unpublished texts that form part of that collection, on the development of Embirikos’ political thought. The second section considers the disjunction between Embirikos’ revolutionary use of psychoanalysis as a basis for theorizing the political objectives of surrealism and the orthodox application of Freudian techniques in his clinical practice as reflected in his psychoanalytic writings.
