Resumen

En la narración temprana de Viziinós Las consecuencias de la vieja historia se observa una fuerte dependencia estética respecto del romanticismo alemán. Un análisis de los motivos de la narración y de los textos que se citan en ella permite situar el relato de Viziinós en el contexto de la tradición germánica de la que parte y en el marco de la evolución literaria del autor. En esta obra temprana, el autor griego todavía no parece asumir como propia la crítica de Heinrich Heine al romanticismo y recorre a una comprensión metafísica del mundo muy característica del movimiento, desde Novalis hasta Wagner. Sin embargo, la narración también contiene elementos que apuntan a la evolución posterior de Viziinós.

Vizyinos’s early short story The Consequences of the Old Story shows a strong aesthetic dependence on German romanticism. An analysis of the motifs of the narrative and of the texts that are mentioned in it makes it possible to situate Vizyinos’s story in the larger context of the German tradition on which it draws as well as in the framework of the author’s literary evolution. In this early work, the Greek author does not yet seem to assume Heinrich Heine’s critique of romanticism and adopts a metaphysical understanding of the world which is very characteristic of the movement, from Novalis to Wagner. Nevertheless, the short story shows elements that point to Vizyinos’s later evolution.
